The idea for activities in the field of artistic woodworking arose from a passion for manual work, attention to detail and perfectionism, after years of self-study, exploring professional literature, collecting practical experience in sawmills and carpentry workshops, and carrying out non-commercial projects in wood.
The workshop is located in Dębica, Podkarpacie, and is assumed to be a home craft factory focused on an individual approach to the product and customer, unique and proprietary products, with a significant amount of manual work involved in designing, shaping wood, surface finishing and decorating.
I deal with the production of solid, durable wooden equipment of the highest quality, surface finish and materials used, and naturalistic shapes, so-called Log furniture made of solid hardwoods, hardwood species with a distinct decorative color and grain - Oak, Ash, Walnut, Robinia, Elm, Cherry and other fruit species.
The process of making the product is long, labor-intensive, multi-stage and begins with raw, dry and debarked wood, most often from the so-called timber.
In short and simplified, the technological process begins with the implementation of the design and then the selection of material from the warehouse and the initial, rough manual and machine machining with the help of, among others chain saw, carving discs, circular saw and band saw, ax, ax and hand chisels. Then the required flat surfaces of the basic elements, angles and exact dimensions of the solids are derived by planing the wood. The next stages are applying the remaining dimensions, making connections, sockets, cutters, holes, etc.
Gluing larger elements, whole products and wood filling is done only with epoxy resin, which means that the durability of the structure is incomparably higher than traditional white glue. The next stage is a careful finish of the wood surface for finishing - grinding and polishing. The final step is to apply a wood protective coating and artistic stylization using a variety of decorative and varnish materials of the highest quality, including semi-precious stones, non-ferrous metals, acrylic paints, coloring agents, beeswax, oils, polishes, synthetic varnishes.
I use various wood processing methods from the so-called "Free hand" using professional hand tools and power tools, such as carving, aging, brushing, as well as many methods of surface finishing and artistic stylization, both with traditional natural and modern synthetic agents applied to wood - painting specific motifs, polishing, waxing, stone inlay and metals in wood.
Each time I try to make a unique product, give it a unique shape, carefully select the components, display the natural, barked surface of the wood, various interesting graining such as scleroderma, knots, wavy grains and other fragments that are not easy to handle.
